Bexley Clinical Cabinet

They are recognised by NHS London and the Department of Health as being well advanced, and were announced as a first wave pathfinder by Secretary of State for Health Andrew Lansley in December 2010.
Bexley Clinical Cabinet is the pathfinder for Bexley in south-east London. All 28 practices in Bexley are members of the group.
The Cabinet has a board of 16 members – five GPs, six appointed members, four co-opted members and one observer.
Formal cabinet meetings take place every two weeks to oversee and carry out consortium business. The cabinet also meets weekly to discuss work plans.
Bexley Clinical Cabinet works with with the Local Involvement Network (LINK) group and has established a patient council to ensure patients are at the forefront of decision-making.
